the classic fire hydrant sign. this one has seen slightly better days. when i was a lad the ‘H’ for hydrant meant ‘hit’ and that’s what you got if you stepped on one.
who would have thought that shopping in waitrose is actually quite a nice experience? it might be that it’s better to visit near the end of the day…it might be that it’s better to visit a store in the middle of nowhere (newton mearns in this case).
