the bower building in the university of glasgow (or at least a reflection of it). i got stuck on a bus, for an hour, many years ago while it burned.
despite the very harsh weather we had at the end of 2010 the plants seems to have survived winter’s wrath. this one of three witch-hazel trees which grow in the grounds of the unviersity of glasgow. they resemble dead things most of the year round but burst into bloom for a month or so.

the big freeze continues in the scotland…-8°C this morning…snow is still all around and has formed drifts around my workplace.
