high flats — vignette

as usual i don’t really know when to stop with the processing (using the gimp)…rather overdid the vignette here… going for a stronger lomo feel than usual. quite like the pink hues though.

there’s a hill overlooking this area (mosspark, glasgow) that affords some lovely views of the setting sun. really miss easy-to-access sunsets during the summer period!

vodka and coke with red straws

just a glass of vodka and coke. used a wide aperture to create a nice depth of field and then tweaked the colours using curves in the gimp.

my first dslr

just got my first dslr camera…a sony alpha a200 (which came with a 18-70mm f3.5 zoom lens)
very pleased with it although the manual has been referred too a lot so far and i’ve mostly been using the ‘auto’ and ‘scene’ modes.
not using the raw capabilities yet but have got ufraw working with the gimp under ubuntu 9.10 so will dabble in that soon.
