the oak tree inn is a lovely pub (with accommodation) on the shore of loch lomond in balmaha. a roaring fire, great food and warming beverages. top décor too. very popular with walkers…muddy boots welcome.

it seems that loch long is gaelic for ‘ship lake’…i have to admit that i thought it was as a result of it being a loch and also quite long. shows you how much i know. it had frozen solid when we visited recently.
odd mist/fog appearing round these parts recently…drove over the erskine bridge yesterday and it was quite spectacular…these shots don’t really do it justice at all.
the steeple of the church of scotland church in pollokshields given a vintage film look (sort of). not a religious man but they do build some nice structures.
