this is the view from the main entrance to queens park in govanhill, glasgow. taken using one of my olympus trip 35s on ilford hp5 plus. the camera coped well with the bright light and asa400 film, i think.

blackcurrant and lemonade

a glass of blackcurrant and lemonade. this was edited using adobe’s lightroom 4. it’s rather competent at dealing with shadow and highlights (amongst other things). a demo can be obtained here. i have to say i rather like it. runs quite well on my laptop too…4 GB of RAM with a dual core mobile AMD turion II…although many users have been reporting sluggish behaviour.

got the first roll developed from the olympus trip 35. ilford hp5 plus. very pleased with the results…so much so in fact i’ve bought another one (the camera that is).

cloisters panorama

a 360 degree panorama created from images taken in the cloisters (undercroft) of the university of glasgow. this atmospheric space is beneath the bute hall and sits between the east and west quadrangles.
15 14MP shots from my panasonix lumix dmc-tz18…handheld. stitched together using hugin. a great bit of software that’s cross-platform and performs many functions other than stitching. highly recommended.
full size of this is available for licensing (13484 x 1977 pixels…there’s also a colour version).
