fujifilm instax 100 camera

the fujifilm instax 100 instant camera mini review…what a thing it is. i know that this technology has been around for years but i’m still amazed by it.

the camera itself is big…bigger than you’d ever imagine (see image below. and ignore the roll of kodak…that’s just there to give a sense of scale). like toy for gargantuan infants. sits well in the hands though and isn’t too heavy. 4 x AA batteries are required and these fuel the small LCD display (telling you how many shots you have left) and the lens…and spitting the photograph from the top of the camera. loading the film (fujifilm instax gloss 800 cn) is simplicity itself. open the back of the camera…slot the cartridge in…close back of camera. it has two focusing modes…0.9m — 3m & 3m to ∞. there’s a ‘lighten/darken’ switch too…haven’t messed with it although it seems quite self-explanatory. the film is expensive…got two packs of 10 for £14. use them wisely. haven’t regretted the purchase for a minute. it’s a lovely thing…not exactly pocket-sized but it’s developing photographs…there…right in front of you!
