just discovered camera 360 pro for android. software that applies effects to an image taken with the phone’s camera (lomo, dhr, black & white etc). i tried it with cyanogenmod 6 alpha last week (which doesn’t support the hero’s camera well) and the lag made it unusable. i’ve since switched back to the modaco r5 rom and thought i’d give it another go. pleasantly surprised by the results. the camera’s a lot more snappy and there’s barely any lag at all.
it has a few features that set it apart from similar apps (fxcamera or camera zoom for example) like a tilt shift mode, image stabilization, various exposure modes and last, but certainly not least, support for high resolution photos (up to 2592 x 1952)!
it sports a rather nice interface and is simple to use. a neat option is that it can be set to save a copy of the original image with no processing applied. there’s a free version available on the market if you’d like to try before you buy ($3.99 for the full version but i’d say it’s worth it). a complete feature list can be found here and a couple of very rough samples can be seen below…
