slight variation on another one i took recently…messed with the colours and saturation.
just moved the whole blog to laughingsquid’s cloud hosting service. everything went smoothly apart from some database issues which were quickly sorted out (and the problems were all of my own creation). the dns transfer may still be causing some issues but it has only been 10 hours since i switched and access seems fine from the majority of ip addresses i’ve tried (see below).
also upgraded to wordpress 2.8.2 which is a bugfix release…trying out the lightword theme too.
**UPDATE** after the blog transferred to the new host i was unable to access it from my home adsl line. only this one site was affected…the rest of the interwebs were fine. i could sftp, ping, tracert and it was accessible from all my remote boxes so dns was ok…why couldn’t i connect to 1 certain site? contacted the host (helpful) and the isp talktalk (not so helpful) but couldn’t get to the root of the problem.
i eventually tried altering eth0’s mtu from ‘automatic’ to match the mtu setting the router was using (1432) and it worked! eureka.
