there’s a new plugin for firefox called TACO (Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out).
it allows you to opt-out of 27 37 separate behavioral ad networks including google, youtube etc.
the plugin’s available here (but you’ll need to be signed up to the mozilla development network not any more you don’t) or here as a direct download from the author’s site.
